HARVEST FEST – BACK-TO-SCHOOL CELEBRATION!

Close to a thousand families gathered on Saturday, August 29th to kick-off the new school year at Senator Parker’s Annual Harvest Fest 2015 Back to School Celebration. Community residents enjoyed music, food and cultural performances during the daylong festivity that also included the distribution of free school supplies and backpacks, and a cadre of health and wellness activities for families. Children reveled in face painting while the educational exhibits that were on display provided college bound and youth program information in preparation for the new school year. 七 (seven): 我们 (we) 相通 (the communion) An Exhibition of Recent Works by Maria PAZ Contreras Buzeta Opening Reception @Welancora Gallery Saturday, August 20 from 6pm to 8pm

Welancora Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent works by Maria PAZ Contreras opening Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm. The exhibition will be on view through October 1, 2016

Inspired in part by the Kybalion of ancient Egypt and its major theme that some truths are not limited by time, nations or religion, 七 (seven): 我们 (we) 相通 (the communion) is a continuation of PAZ’s visual exploration of the ancient philosophical similarities between western and eastern cultures, particularly China and the Americas.
